New
- We’re excited to announce the following integrations are now available:

Ignition: A proposals, billing, and payments platform that helps practices manage client engagements and workflows. This integration is available for practices on Pro and Elite plans.
Using the integration, practices can synchronise client data between FYI and Ignition to maintain consistency across both platforms. The integration also supports automated job creation in FYI when proposals are accepted in Ignition, helping reduce manual setup and improve workflow efficiency. Refer to Announcing the new Integration with Ignition.
- AMLCC: An anti-money laundering and client compliance platform that helps practices manage AML obligations. This integration has been extended to Australian practices on Pro and Elite plans. Using the integration, practices can sync client and contact data from FYI into AMLCC, ensuring client information remains accurate and up-to-date across both systems. Refer to Integration with AMLCC (Australia and United Kingdom only).

Enhancements
- We have made the following improvements to the Xero Practice Manager synchronisation. Refer to Xero Practice Manager Synchronised Fields:
- When synchronising Client or Job Custom Field number values from FYI, if the value exceeds the Xero Practice Manager limit, a warning will be displayed in Practice Activity. FYI will skip synchronising the Custom Field and continue processing the remaining updates. A link is also provided in the Practice Activity Drawer to manually update the affected client or job with a smaller value.
- We have improved the synchronisation to support Job State names containing em (—) or en (–) dashes. Jobs will now synchronise successfully without displaying an error in Practice Activity.
- A Template column can now be added to Document lists to display the template used to create the document. Where a template is Draft or Archived, the status will display alongside the template name. Users with Templates permission can click the template name to display a preview of the template in the Knowledge workspace. Standard users will only be able to preview Active templates. Refer to Using the Documents Lists.
- For practices integrated with IRIS, we have improved the error messaging when a client cannot be found for a contact during synchronisation, by displaying the Client Name and Client Code in the Practice Activity Details section, making it easier to identify and resolve affected clients. Refer to Error "Cannot find matching Client for Contact" when synchronising Clients.
- For practices integrated with MYOB, we have enhanced the messaging when the Accountant Responsibility Type cannot be synchronised. A clear error message will display in Practice Activity, where users can click "Read More" to view additional information and assist with troubleshooting. Refer to Error FYI-2303 "Accountant Responsibility Type is invalid" when synchronising Custom Fields.
For practices on the Elite plan:
- Permissions associated with invoicing have been updated to provide greater control over which users can move timesheets. When a new user group with Approve, View or Create Invoices permission are enabled, the Move Timesheets permission can now be selected separately and is no longer enabled by default. Refer to Managing User Groups.
Existing User Groups with these permissions will retain their current Move Timesheets setting, however practices can update the Move Timesheets setting as required. Please note that Edit Timesheets permission will continue to automatically enable the Move Timesheets permission.

Time, Employee and Invoice filters are now supported when the View no longer matches option is configured within an automation Stop step. If the automation no longer matches the selected filters during the process, it will stop successfully.
Note that CSV Import and Event filter (Beta) are not supported for this step. Users will be prevented from saving this step with this option selected, and any existing automations will display an error in Automation History. Refer to Process Step Details - Stop.
- We have improved the WIP import process to ensure that valid time entries are imported to prevent incorrect billing information. When a time entry Billable Rate and Billable Amount column both contain negative values, the entry will not import and an error will be displayed in Practice Activity, where the Issue CSV file can be downloaded for further troubleshooting. Refer to Error FYI-2252: Issues encountered during the WIP Import.
- For practices using Rules for Forms (Beta), a Test Form function is available within the Rules Builder to preview forms and validate rule behaviour. When information is entered into the test form it will be retained when switching between the Rules Builder and the Test Form, allowing continued testing without re-entering values. Refer to Creating and Managing Rules for Forms (Beta).
Resolutions
- For practices integrated with Xero Practice Manager, we have resolved an issue where client changes made using Bulk Update could be lost if a client contact was updated before the client changes had finished synchronising. Client changes will now remain pending synchronisation until the update has completed successfully in Xero Practice Manager.
- We have resolved an issue where exporting certain file types from FYI converted the file extension to .dat. The correct file extension is now retained for .mye, .fas, .vdsx, .html, .heic, .rtf, .db, .dot, and .frm files.
- We have updated filtering in the Documents list for the Job column. The Job filter has been removed from the main Documents list, and when viewing the Documents tab within a Client, Client Group, or Employee workspace, users can now filter the Job column using “Contains” to search for specific jobs.
- We have resolved an issue when using Export via AWS where the export status displayed as Complete while the export was still processing. The progress percentage will now display accurately during the export, and the status will remain In Progress until processing has finished.
- We have resolved an issue where, in some circumstances, the Jobs list displayed a “Loading” message until the browser was refreshed.
- We have resolved an issue when selecting Run Again from Process History incorrectly re-executed the automation against the original automation filter, instead of only the selected items.
- We have resolved an issue where enabling the Show only Executions with Warnings filter in Automation History displayed executions from all automations instead of only the selected automation. Automation History filters now correctly retain the current automation context when filtering warning executions.
For practices on the Elite plan:
- We have resolved an issue where users were not notified when an invoice failed to sync to Xero. An error message is now created in Practice Activity with a resubmit option, while overnight sync failures are automatically retried.
- We have resolved the following issues when creating reports with Opening Balance enabled and Relative Date options selected:
- This Financial Year or Last Financial Year options now use the financial year dates configured in Practice Settings, instead of regional date setting.
- All Relative Date options will now calculate report periods using the practice region time zone for improved reporting accuracy.
- For practices with Invoice Interval settings enabled by FYI, invoice exports to Xero now continue processing successfully without interrupting subsequent invoice syncs.
- We have resolved an issue that allowed invoice amounts to be overridden for jobs containing only $0 billable time entries. Invoice amounts can no longer be edited when all included time entries are $0. For invoices containing billable entries as well, $0 entries can no longer be adjusted in the WIP Selector or Invoice Drawer.
- For practices with Forms enabled:
- Address Group fields now support address search when completing a form. Clients and users can search for and select an address directly within the field.
- When changes are made and saved in a Form template, the Last Saved date in the Template drawer now correctly displays the date the change was made.

Resolutions
- For practices on the Elite plan, we have resolved an issue where the WIP Control Report could time out and fail to generate due to large volumes of data. Additional improvements have been implemented to improve all report generation.
Note: Practices creating reports with large amounts of data may experience longer processing times and should consider reducing report sizes where appropriate.

Resolutions
- We have resolved an issue with the FYI Desktop App where users were unable to log in or edit documents. Where the app has not automatically restarted, users may need to manually restart the FYI Desktop App to resolve the issue.

New
- We’re excited to announce that Annature’s Identity Verification feature is now available in the FYI + Annature integration.
Practices can send identity verification requests from Annature and manage verification workflows alongside digital signatures, using client information synchronised from FYI. The Certificate of Verification can be optionally imported and automatically filed against the relevant client.
For practices integrated with Xero Practice Manager, verification details are automatically synchronised to Custom Fields in FYI. For practices on the Elite plan using FYI as the Practice Management source, a disbursement can be automatically created in FYI once identity verification is complete, ready to be invoiced to your client.

Enhancements
- We have enhanced the Xero Practice Manager integration to automatically retry creating new jobs during manual and overnight job syncs when new jobs cannot be created due to rate limiting. Practice Activity alerts are displayed when rate limits are reached, and when previously failed jobs are successfully created on retry. Refer to Xero Practice Manager Rate Limiting.
- For practices migrating time and invoices from MYOB AO/AE (Beta), we have enhanced the synchronisation of invoices. Invoices are now more accurately synchronized using the Invoice Status, Posted Date and Outstanding amounts in MYOB. This ensures Draft, Awaiting Payment, Paid, or Deleted invoices display correctly, providing a more consistent view of invoice statuses. Refer to Migration of Invoices from MYOB AE/AO to FYI and Xero Ledger (Beta).
Resolutions
- When running an Automation Process, we have resolved an issue where the Run window did not display a count if there were 10 or fewer items. The total number of items is now always displayed.
- When bulk updating jobs, we have resolved an issue where updates could be delayed or appear stuck with no progress. Updates are now processed as expected.
- When changing the OneDrive Admin for a practice in the OneDrive app in FYI, users must now Finish Co-Editing to check the document back in before the document can be opened for Co-Edit. If a user attempts to open the document using Co-Edit before it has been checked back in, an error will be displayed.
- For practices integrated with FuseSign, we have resolved an issue where syncs could continue to fail after the connection expired and was reconnected. Syncs are now processed successfully without authentication errors.
- We have resolved an issue where Automation Processes using a view filtered by a Decimal Job Custom Field could skip jobs with values of 1,000 or more. All matching jobs are now processed as expected.
For practices integrated with Xero Practice Manager:
- We have resolved an issue when creating a new client, where Custom Fields updated in FYI could be reset to blank after synchronisation with Xero Practice Manager. Custom Fields are now retained in FYI and updated in Xero Practice Manager when the client is created.
- We have resolved an issue where duplicate clients could be created in FYI in some cases when Xero Practice Manager is connected with other integrations that create client records in FYI.
For practices on the Elite plan:
- We have resolved an issue with the Capacity Planning Report where jobs using a Custom Field as the Job Start Date could result in incorrect calculations when the field was not populated.
- When viewing the Capacity Planning Report in Excel, the "Refresh report data" button now refreshes the report successfully. For large reports, refresh may take up to 10 minutes. Running a new Capacity Planning Report is recommended where the Data tab contains 60,000 rows or more.
- When viewing My Time - Group view the current week's date range displays correctly and any newly create time entries created from this view appear immediately without needing to refresh the page.
- When creating a Workflow Job and ‘Show Jobs by Client’ is enabled in Practice Settings, only the Billing Jobs for the current client will display.
- When synchronising invoices from Xero Ledger, where a practice has over 100 credit notes, all credit notes are synchronised to FYI successfully.
- We have resolved an issue where updating the total invoice amount on an invoice, resulted in disbursement totals being recalculated incorrectly. Now, when an invoice amount is updated, the invoice amount will be distributed correctly to the time entries selected.
- For practices integrated with XPM, we have resolved an issue where importing the Unbilled WIP report caused the synchronisation process to stall, and the WIP Import button to become unavailable. If an error occurs during import, an error will display and the WIP Import button will remain available to retry the import process again.
