Using the FYI Automation Library

The FYI Automation Library contains a list of pre-built automations for a range of processes commonly used in accounting practices. The automation processes can be customised to suit the unique requirements of the practice, tested, and activated when ready for use.

Plan Availability

While the ability to create and customise Automation Processes are included with the Pro and Elite plans, some sample automations are also available for practices on the Intermediate plan.

For each Automation, the Automation Library displays the eligible plans next to the Automation Process name. For example, the Client Birthday Email process is available to practices on the Pro and Elite plans only.

Featured Collections

The Automation Library offers two Featured Collections, selected for practices wanting to get started with automations quickly.

• Essential Starter Automations - contains a list of automation processes essential for every practice to streamline operations and optimise efficiency.
• Elite Plan Automations - available to practices on the FYI Elite plan, these automations use time and billing features to streamline WIP, invoicing, disbursements and staff performance workflows.

Activating Automation Processes

The steps required to get started with an automation process will depend on the label on the right of the Automation Process:

• Activate Now - these Automation Processes contain steps that are unique to each practice and will need to be built by the user. Detailed instructions are available to guide users through each step, for example, creating Custom Fields.
• Import Now - these Automation Processes come with downloadable files, ready to be imported into FYI. Minimal customisation is required.
