What's New across FYI

5:34: Discover the latest updates to Client, Job, and Automation - Apps workspaces. We demonstrate new columns and filtering available giving you more visibility quicker than before. 

7:30: We discuss the new Export Client List permission now available in User Groups, for more refer to Managing User Groups. We also discuss the new timesheet synchronisation option for our XPM practices, for more refer to Managing Practice Settings.

8:50: We've listened to your feedback and released a small but high-impact enhancement to auto-populate your Job Manager and Job Partner with the Client Manager and Client Partner details when creating a job in FYI. As well as the highly requested function to bulk update document Approvers to help you quickly reassign and move documents through the approval process. 

10:00: Take a look at the new Practice Activity event for the permanent deletion of documents from the platform, with the time, user, and quantity of documents that have been permanently deleted. 

10:33: One of our favourite releases for the quarter is the ability to order and group custom fields. We demonstrate how you can organise your custom fields and how to use them in your workspaces in list and grouped formats. Refer to Grouping Custom Fields.

Beta: FYI as Primary (Pro and Intermediate)

13:38: Our new Beta Program for our Pro and Intermediate Plan practices allows you to nominate FYI as Primary allowing you to create, edit, and maintain all client data directly in FYI. For more refer to Enabling FYI as Primary Source for Client Data. To sign up for the Beta and start using FYI as Primary now, refer to Join the FYI Beta Program.

Beta: Universal Merge Fields (UMF)

16:10: We've got a number of practices using the Universal Merge Fields feature and we've seen some encouraging results that our clients are achieving. This quarter we released more functionality to include merge fields from your corporate affairs integrations and the new Automation Initiator field which is a game-changer for dynamic assignment of jobs and tasks. What's New for FYI Elite

20:36: New defaults in Job Templates for your Job State and Budget fields for greater efficiency and consistency when creating jobs in FYI, refer to Managing Job Templates

21:12: Xero tracking is now available when creating invoices with FYI allowing for greater reporting, for more refer to Xero Tracking Options.

22:45: New Rate options now available at Client and Job level in addition to User level. This gives you increased flexibility regarding how time is recorded and invoiced according to the circumstance, for more refer to Managing Rates for Time and Disbursements.

23:40: Time defaults for Task Templates are here, allowing you to dictate standard time allotment and auto-draft timesheet entries for the team from templates, making recording time easier. Refer to Creating and Maintaining Task Templates.

25:40: Users can nominate how they wish time to be recorded by default, Draft or Submitted, refer to My Settings. Time can now be recorded in whole and decimal numbers, refer to Time Entry Formats, in addition, you can also copy timesheet entries, making recording leave or public holiday time that much easier. 27:06: The ability to Split Time is now available, allowing you to bill a portion of the time and carry forward the remaining, for more refer to Splitting Time.

29:21: Grouping of Invoices provides dynamic visibility directly in FYI without the need to generate a report, allowing you to view client revenue and job billing seamlessly. For more refer to Grouping Practice Invoice and Time Lists.

Integration Updates

30:23: We've had some exciting enhancements for digital signing. For Annature users you can now import the certificate of completion into FYI when all signatories have signed the document. For both Annature and FuseSign integrations you can now request a manual sync to retrieve envelopes overnight, for more refer to Integration with Annature and Integration with FuseSign.

31:07: Our Zapier app has been updated, allowing you to deploy jobs directly into FYI. This allows practices currently using Ignition for proposals to seamlessly create jobs and link invoicing within FYI. To help, we've created a dedicated recipe you can use to configure your zap, refer to Integration with Ignition using Zapier. For more on Zapier refer to Integration with Zapier

31:30: New third party apps, StackGo and Apxium, are now available to integrate with FYI. For more refer to Integration with StackGo IdentityCheck and Integration with Apxium.

31:47: We continue to expand our education resources and experiences for our practices.

We've introduced Learning Paths, designed to offer a predefined series of courses, videos and resources, refer to Learning Paths. ​

A new Learn Course for our Elite Plan practices focusing on Time & Billing allowing you to learn how to create time and disbursements, manage WIP and invoice with FYI’s Elite plan, refer to FYI Learn.
