Setting up your Trial Account in FYI

Setting up a trial account for FYI is simple. There’s nothing to install locally and no credit card or direct debit details are required.

To use FYI:

  • You must have a Microsoft 365 account, with emails hosted through Microsoft Exchange Online (as part of Microsoft 365).
    Note: FYI does not support hybrid environments and requires emails to be solely hosted through Microsoft Exchange Online. Refer to Prerequisites for using FYI in your Practice
     
  • Microsoft 365 Business Standard is the recommended license required. This allows FYI users to be able to edit documents from FYI using the desktop versions of Office or Outlook and ensures full integration with FYI.

Signing up for a Trial

Here's how to set up your trial account in FYI:

  1. Visit https://fyi.app/get-started/ and click on the Start a 30-day free trial button.

  2. You will be directed to a new page with details on the trial. Click Get Started.

  3. The form to sign up for a trial will be displayed.

  4. Enter the following details into the form:
    • The work email address of the user who will become the initial FYI Admin user
      Note: Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo, and iCloud emails will not be accepted.
    • The user's first and last name
    • Your preferred email address for FYI Billing
    • Your practice name
    • Select your country
    • An offer code (if applicable)
       
  5. Click Submit.

The form will be submitted, and a member of the FYI team will be in touch to finalise the details of your trial.

Next Steps

Log in to FYI

Once the details of your trial have been finalised, the user who created your trial can log in to FYI.

  1. Click LOGIN WITH WINDOWS

  2. Enter your Microsoft 365 username and password.
     
  3. You will then arrive at the FYI Welcome screen.

Important: Once logged in for the first time, ensure that you Connect your Practice Management Software.

Connect your Practice Management Software

As part of the Onboarding process, you will be able to connect your chosen Practice Management integration. Refer to Connecting to your Practice Management software.

Before Using FYI

Before you begin using FYI, please make sure that you complete the following additional setup tasks:

  1. Add the FYI Add-ins for Office and Outlook.
  2. Optimise your Computer for use with FYI.
