Training Stages
Stage 1 - Getting Started
It’s time to get started with your learning journey. New users will be presented with a Welcome Tour which includes a brief introductory video and guided walkthrough of FYI.
The Getting Started stage includes three key components:
-
Getting Started Checklist: After logging in, users can click on the FYI Guide tab in the bottom-right corner of FYI and select the the Getting Started Checklist, which is available in Onboarding Checklists section. This checklist will trigger automatically for users who have engaged with the Welcome Tour. Users can complete the guided walkthroughs and explore the key workspaces and lists in FYI.
-
Getting Started as an FYI Admin: FYI Admins complete their first course using FYI Learn, a suite of eLearning courses delivered inside the FYI platform. The self-guided courses include everything needed to get started as an administrator with FYI.
- Managing Templates and Stationery: In this course, FYI Admins will learn how to create and maintain practice templates, stationery, and email signatures, essential for getting started with FYI.
Stage 2 - Getting Hands-on
In this stage, users will get hands-on experience with FYI.
- An FYI Admin can ensure Sample Content is enabled, which includes clients, templates and a "Sample" cabinet, so you can maintain the integrity of your client information.
- Using FYI Guide, users can follow the Getting Hands-on Checklist to complete their first FYI Learn course, Building your Foundations. This course will teach users how FYI can be used to manage clients, emails, and documents.
Continuing through the checklist, users follow guided walkthroughs to begin creating emails, documents, comments, tasks, and more directly in FYI. This checklist will trigger automatically for users who have engaged with the Getting Started Checklist.
Once training is complete, FYI Admins can disable the Sample Content setting to hide the sample clients and cabinet. Any documents, tasks, and other items related to the sample clients will be removed.
Note: Sample Content can be enabled again at any time, for example when you have a new team member in your practice.
Stage 3 - Live Training
At this stage, users are invited to join a live and personalised training session for your team, delivered via Zoom. This session has dedicated Q&A time as well as typical scenarios your team will encounter when getting started with FYI.
It's recommended that this session be delivered within two weeks of your team going live with FYI, and scheduled to coincide with your Go Live Day.
Completion of Stages 1 and 2 are prerequisites for this session.
