Issue
Images embedded in emails aren't displayed when previewing the email in FYI. Instead, a placeholder value, such as "image.png", may display.
This can occur when using Preview Office via OneDrive or selecting Read to open the email in OneDrive.
Cause
The Preview pane is powered by OneDrive and displays the same preview that would display if the email was opened directly in OneDrive.
OneDrive may not display embedded images correctly when previewing email files. The same behaviour can be reproduced by uploading the email directly to OneDrive and previewing it there, without using FYI.
Solution
FYI doesn't control how OneDrive loads embedded images in email previews.
If the images aren't displayed when previewing the email directly in OneDrive, contact Microsoft Support to investigate the OneDrive preview behaviour.
