We're excited to announce that the Event Trigger feature is now available for Pro and Elite practices when creating Automation Processes. Adding to the current Schedule and Manual trigger options, Event allows practices to run automations immediately when a defined event occurs in FYI.
Practices can create and run automations to run as soon as changes happen, including when a new client or job is created, or when selected client or job information is updated.
What does this mean for FYI users?
Automations that are configured with Event Trigger give practices more control over when automation processes run, ensuring steps run in real time when specific conditions are met, providing another option to Schedule or Manual processes.
Key features include:
- Real-time event-based processes: Start automation steps as soon as the selected event occurs, without needing to run the process manually or run on a scheduled basis.
- Automatically run processes for new Clients and Jobs: Trigger processes when new clients or jobs are created or synchronised to FYI, helping practices standardise next steps from the moment the record is created.
- Targeted triggers for Client and Job Updates: Run processes when selected Client or Job details are updated, including when a selected field value is removed, so teams can act on important changes sooner.
- Enhanced testing functionality: Test the process using an existing Client or Job record to confirm the automation works as expected, using sample clients so that existing data is not impacted.
Who is this available for?
Event Trigger is available for all practices on the Pro and Elite plans. Processes can be configured with the Event Trigger by FYI Admins and users with Automations permissions.
How does it work?
Our Feature Walkthrough provides a guided overview of setting up a process with Event Trigger. This video walkthrough includes an Onboarding process example with a defined Event Trigger, selecting the different filter options and setting up specific steps of the automation.
