New
- We are excited to introduce the Automation Import Wizard, a new guided experience for users with Automations permission to import automations. The wizard replaces the previous one-step manual import process and now allows users to review, map and configure imported fields. For example Views, Custom Fields and Templates can be mapped to existing platform settings or imported as new.
To support the new import experience, multiple processes are now imported as a single automation .zip bundle rather than selecting multiple .zip files during import. When exporting custom processes, specific fields are automatically retained, allowing them to be reviewed, mapped and imported through the wizard. Refer to Announcing the new Automation Import Wizard.

Enhancements
- We have enhanced the FYI Editor with additional font options, available when creating emails, tasks, phone calls, meeting records, and file notes. The new fonts include Aptos, Montserrat, Century Gothic, Roboto, and Open Sans. FYI Admins can also select one of the new fonts as the default font in Practice Settings. When emails are sent or viewed in Outlook, some fonts may need to be installed locally to display correctly. Refer to Formatting and Fonts using the Editor in FYI.
- We have made the following improvements to Automations:
- The Look Up Job step now includes a Job State field. One or more job states can be selected when searching for matching jobs. For example, the step can be configured to search and return only jobs with a "For Signing" job state, providing greater control over the search results. Refer to Process Step Details - Look Up Job.
- The Create Task step has been simplified by removing the Enable toggle. When the step is added to a process, the Create Task details are now displayed automatically. Note, this change does not affect process steps that include an attached task, where the task option must still be enabled. Refer to Process Step Details - Create Task.
- The Look Up Job step now includes a Job State field. One or more job states can be selected when searching for matching jobs. For example, the step can be configured to search and return only jobs with a "For Signing" job state, providing greater control over the search results. Refer to Process Step Details - Look Up Job.
For UK practices integrated with CCH, we have enhanced the synchronisation of Partner and Manager Job fields. Partner will now synchronise from Assignment Partner in CCH, while Manager will synchronise from Assignment Manager. If either assignment value is not populated, the corresponding client value will be synced.
Practices synchronising jobs should review their CCH data to ensure the correct information is synchronised between platforms. Refer to Synchronising Clients, Users and Jobs with CCH Central (United Kingdom only).
When bulk exporting documents from FYI, the Bulk Export AWS method now includes draft emails in FYI as HTML files. Each HTML file includes the body of the email, relevant metadata including the sender and recipients, and information on any attachments. Refer to Bulk Export AWS.
For practices on the Elite plan:
The Invoices list can now be sorted by the Client, Job, Client Group, and Send Status columns. This applies to the Client Invoices, Client Group Invoices, Jobs Invoices, and Practice Invoices lists. The view can be saved with the new sort order, and CSV or Excel exports will be created using the same order.
When migrating to FYI as the Practice Management source, invoices and credit notes synchronised from Xero Ledger are now prioritised based on the selected Migration Date. Invoices and credit notes with an Awaiting Payment status are synchronised first, followed by the remaining invoices and credit notes. Refer to Synchronising Contacts, Invoices, and Client Ledger Reports with Xero Ledger.
Resolutions
- We have resolved an issue where users synchronised from Xero Practice Manager were matched to email addresses added as aliases in FYI, causing jobs to become incorrectly unassigned. If an email address matches an existing user’s email alias, an alert is now displayed in Practice Activity to indicate the user is a duplicate, and the job assignment is not impacted.
- We have resolved an issue where some Time and Invoice financial values synchronised into FYI could exceed the supported character limit. The supported character limit has been increased, and clear error messages are now displayed when values exceed the limit after rounding.
- For practices integrated with BGL or NowInfinity, we have resolved an issue where viewing errors in the Automations History tab caused the page to crash. Error messages now display, allowing users to troubleshoot process failures.
- For practices integrated with BGL, we have resolved an issue where Documents could be filed to the incorrect Client when a company number has changed. The overnight sync now validates both the BGL ID and company number to ensure Documents are filed to the correct Client. If a mismatch is detected, the Document is automatically filed to the correct Client and a warning is displayed in the automation history with the details. Documents incorrectly filed before this change will need to be corrected manually.
- We have resolved an issue where using keyboard shortcuts while entering data in a Create or Update Drawer in FYI, such as Create Time, could inadvertently open a new Drawer and cause the entered data to be lost.
For practices on the Elite plan with FYI as the Practice Management source:
- When integrated with Xero Ledger, the Migration Date will now be retained in FYI when a Xero organisation is reconnected, and Practice Ledger is enabled.

Resolutions
- The resolution released on 04.06.2026 where the Client List Source filter would only display integrations that created Clients in FYI, has been reverted. Practices will now see a predefined list of sources to filter their clients.

New
- We're excited to announce a new integration with Abacor, an AI meeting assistant that captures and understands client conversations, turning meetings into actionable tasks and documentation.
The integration allows practices to synchronise meetings and tasks from Abacor into FYI, ensuring meeting transcripts, summaries, outcomes, and follow-ups are captured and filed to the correct client in FYI.

Enhancements
- We have enhanced the Editor available for Emails, Phone Calls, Meetings, File Notes and Task Templates. Images can now be uploaded directly into FYI, in addition to linking to external images. Please note that images should be resized to the required resolution before uploading, as some email platforms, such as Outlook, may display images at their original size. Refer to Formatting and Fonts using the FYI Email Editor.
- We have made improvements to Process History for automations that contain an Execute Process step, making it easier to navigate between related process executions.
When an Execute Process step starts another process successfully, users can now navigate directly to the executed process from the initiating process history. The executed process history also includes a Started by link, allowing users to quickly navigate back to the initiating process. Refer to Process History and Activity.
- We have introduced new email filters to the Clients List and Employees List (Elite plan only), making it easier to filter by clients' and employees' email addresses. Available filters include Contains, Does not contain, Is empty, Is not empty, Starts with, Ends with, Equals and Does not equal. Refer to Sorting and Filtering Lists.
- For practices integrated with Xero Practice Manager, if a job update is synchronised from FYI and the job has been deleted in XPM, the job will be automatically marked as Cancelled in FYI. An alert will be added to Practice Activity to notify users of the cancellation. Users must create a new job and transfer the relevant documents, tasks and comments. Refer to Error "Invalid Job Identifier" when updating jobs.
- For practices integrated with APS, CCH, IRIS or MYOB AE/AO, we have enhanced the Practice Activity messages displayed when synchronising skips clients without a name. Users can now click “Read More” within the error message to view additional information and assist with troubleshooting. Refer to Error FYI-2302 "Add a name to the affected clients in your Practice Management Platform" when synchronising Clients.
- For practices migrating time and invoices from MYOB AO/AE to FYI (Beta), we have improved the synchronisation of negative-value invoices. Invoices with a negative gross amount are now synchronised to FYI as Credit Notes. Refer to Migration of Invoices from MYOB AE/AO to FYI and Xero Ledger (Beta).
Resolutions
- When an email is filed in FYI, the Filed in FYI category is correctly applied in Outlook.
- We have resolved an issue where selecting a new view in the Jobs List did not filter the list based on the selected view. The Jobs List now updates correctly when a different view is selected.
- The Job - Summary tab will now only display the Job Sync button for practices connected to Xero Practice Manager.
- When using the Balance Month client merge field in automations or documents, the value is now always returned as the month name (for example, "June" or "December") instead of a numeric value.
- We have resolved an issue where running multiple Bulk Exports via AWS is blocked and prevents subsequent bulk exports from processing. Multiple bulk exports now complete successfully.
- We have made the following changes to the Clients List filters:
- When filtering the Clients List by Source, only integrations that have created clients in FYI for the practice will be displayed as filter options.
- When filtering the Partner or Manager columns by "(Blank)", records with an "Unassigned" or "-" value will be displayed. Please note that any jobs that did not have a value set for Partner or Manager have been updated to display a hyphen "-" rather than an empty field.
- We have resolved the following issues relating to processes that include an Execute Process step:
- Where the initiating process filter is a Document View or Form View (Elite practices only), processes selected in an Execute Process step can now use the original trigger document as an attachment or merge field. Trigger document information is available to steps in the executed process, such as Create Email and Create Document.
- When the setting Block Initiating Process is enabled, it could remain In Progress and eventually time out when no matching executions were started. Automations will now complete with a warning message when the executed process is skipped due to its filter configuration.
- For practices integrated with Xero Practice Manager, new clients created in FYI from other integrations will now automatically synchronise to XPM, unless excluded by the integration.
- For practices integrated with MYOB AO/AE, we have resolved an issue where contacts continued to sync and generated unnecessary Practice Activity error notifications when no action was required.
For practices on the Elite plan:
- When recalculating jobs, the Billable Amount values on Time entries are now rounded consistently with the Job Financials section in the Job Summary.
- When using Time Bulk Update, users with the Edit Timesheets permission cannot update time or disbursement entries in a period locked by the Period Lock Date, or move entries into a locked period. Users with the Move Timesheets permission can update the Client and Job fields only, regardless of the Period Lock Date. FYI Admins can update all fields, including entries in locked periods.
