Connecting Xero Ledger is not a requirement to upgrade to FYI Elite. However, to fully use FYI Elite practice management features, users need to connect a Xero Ledger (Xero Blue) to FYI. Without a Xero Ledger connection, users can still use some FYI features such as document management, email filing, and automations, however key FYI Elite practice management functionality will not be available.
Job Templates are a core part of FYI Practice Management and include settings used to synchronise invoices by configuring Xero Organisation for Invoicing Jobs and chart of accounts. Additionally Job Templates are used for Time and Invoices, therefore a Xero Ledger connection is required for these workflows.
