Emails in FYI are deleted using a soft delete, meaning they are not permanently removed and can be restored if needed. This allows users to remove unwanted emails while still being able to recover them if deleted by mistake.

Permanently deleting emails is restricted to FYI Admins. Once an email has been permanently deleted, it cannot be restored.

You can view and restore deleted emails at any time using the Deleted view in the Documents list.

Displaying Deleted Emails

To display deleted emails in FYI:

  1. Click the Documents menu option.

  2. From the View drop-down, select Deleted.

The list displays all emails that have been deleted and are available to restore.

Emails deleted from the In Tray that have not been filed are not displayed in the Deleted view. This ensures privacy and avoids the emails from becoming available to other users. To make these emails available in FYI again, they must be filed from Outlook.
