When opening a PDF via the FYI Desktop app, you may be prompted to manually select a save location instead of the document saving automatically.
This occurs when Adobe Acrobat has Protected Mode enabled. This setting restricts how files are saved and can prevent the FYI Desktop app from automatically saving documents to the correct location.
If you do not want to be prompted, the Protected Mode in Adobe Acrobat can be disabled:
- Open Adobe Acrobat and click Menu.
- Select Preferences.
- Select Security (Enhanced).
- Ensure Enable Protected mode at startup is unticked.
- Click OK to save your changes.
- Restart Adobe Acrobat.
Note: Changes to Protected Mode settings only take effect after restarting Adobe Acrobat.
