Xero Practice Manager can be disconnected from FYI if the integration is no longer required.
Important: This process is used to permanently disconnect from Xero Practice Manager only.
Once disconnected, reconnecting to your current Xero Practice Manager account will cause duplicate data.

Considerations when Disconnecting Xero Practice Manager
Consider the following before deciding to disconnect Xero Practice Manager. Ensure that you and your team have understood the following information and implications before disconnecting:

Data will not be synchronised between FYI and XPM, including Clients, Users, Jobs, Custom Fields, and Time entries.
- The Source will be updated to "FYI" for all Jobs, Clients, Users, Custom Field Definitions, and Time entries.
- When updating jobs, if the XPM Job Number already matches an existing job with a source of "FYI", the Job Number for the XPM Job will be updated to a new unique Job Number. An entry will be added to Job Activity to confirm the change.
- When updating jobs, if the XPM Job Number already matches an existing job with a source of "FYI", the Job Number for the XPM Job will be updated to a new unique Job Number. An entry will be added to Job Activity to confirm the change.
- Some features will become unavailable in FYI, for example, XPM Workflow Jobs, or the ability to edit some client fields. Refer to Available Beta Features below for some features that can be enabled.
- The Author Phone and Author Mobile fields cannot be maintained on the User Profile in FYI. The relevant Merge Fields should be removed from Email Signatures and Templates where used.
Once disconnected from Xero Practice Manager, users will still be able to create Jobs in FYI. However, it is important to consider the following:
- For practices on the Pro or Elite plans with XPM as the Practice Management source, where XPM Workflow Jobs was previously enabled, after disconnecting from XPM all new jobs will be created as Billing Jobs. Existing Workflow Jobs will be retained in FYI, and can be updated as required.
When creating new jobs:- All jobs will be created as Billing Jobs.
- Users cannot be assigned to the Billing Job.
- XPM Workflow Jobs cannot be created and assigned to the Billing Job.
- The Estimated and Actual time values cannot be edited.
- The Create Time feature will remain available, and will be displayed on Home - My Time, but will not be synchronised to XPM and cannot be assigned to an XPM Task or Workflow Job.

Job Templates previously synchronised to FYI will be available from the drop-down list, but cannot be maintained in FYI.
- Practices on the Pro plan can select from the existing Job Templates, or leave this blank when creating a new job.
- Practices on the Elite plan with FYI as the Practice Management source will be able to create and maintain Job Templates directly in FYI.
Disconnecting Xero Practice Manager
- In FYI, click the Automation menu option.
- Click the Apps tab.
- Locate the Xero Practice Manager app and click the cog settings icon.
- The Xero Practice Manager Settings will be displayed.
- Click Permanently Disconnect.
- A warning message will be displayed to confirm the sync of data will be disabled.
- Type permanently into the box. The Permanently Disconnect button will be displayed.
- Click Permanently Disconnect.
- The Xero Practice Manager app will display Pending disconnection. FYI will begin processing updates to change the Source of data from XPM to FYI for all relevant data.
After Disconnecting from Xero Practice Manager
Important: This process is used to permanently disconnect from Xero Practice Manager only.
Once disconnected, reconnecting to your current Xero Practice Manager account will cause duplicate data.

Author Phone and Mobile Merge Fields
When connected to Xero Practice Manager, the phone and mobile number for each FYI user will be synchronised and displayed using the Author's Phone and Mobile Merge Fields, for example, in email signatures.
For practices on the Pro plan, these fields cannot be maintained in FYI, and cannot be updated after disconnecting from Xero Practice Manager.
These Merge Fields should be removed where used in FYI, including Email Signatures and Document Templates.
Available Beta Features
For practices on the Pro plan that are not connecting to a new Practice Management platform, it's recommended to register for the following Beta features:

FYI as Primary for Client Maintenance - used to create and manage clients and contacts within FYI.
- Job States - create and manage new Job States in FYI to track the progress of a job.
