Archived clients can be restored, for example, if the client returns to the practice. The process for unarchiving the client varies depending on whether you have a practice management platform integrated with FYI.
With an Integrated Practice Management Platform
Where practices are using an integrated Practice Management solution for example, Xero Practice Manager, the client must be restored in the practice management software. During the next synchronisation, the client will then be updated in FYI.
For more information, refer to your integrated practice management solution below:
To restore an archived client and associated documents, you will need to:
-
Unarchive the client in your Practice Management software, for example, Xero Practice Manager.
- The client will be updated to Active during the next overnight synchronisation. To perform a manual synchronisation, refer to the articles in Apps and Integrations.
- The Filing Status of the documents will need to be changed from "Archived" to "Filed". Use the Bulk Update feature to update the documents for that client if required. Refer to Bulk Updating of Filing Details.
Without an Integrated Practice Management Platform
Where practices are not using an integrated Practice Management solution for example, Xero Practice Manager, the client can be restored in FYI.
This feature requires FYI as Primary for Client Maintenance to be enabled.
- In FYI, navigate to the Client Summary tab for a client.
- Click the Restore Client button at the top of the Client Details.
- A message will be displayed to confirm the client, including all documents, will be restored to an active status. Click Yes.
The client will be unarchived, and will be available to use in FYI. Refer to articles in the Client section of the Feature Guides.
