The Task - View Filters Automation filter is available when creating Custom Automation Processes, and allows practices to send notifications based on a Task view. For instance, you might use the filter to select a view that shows overdue or unassigned tasks, and then trigger a summary notification to a particular user.
For examples of Automation Processes using the Task Filter, refer to Custom Processes using Views and Summary Notifications and Overdue Task Reminder.
Task - View Filters
To use the Task - View Filters filter:
- From the Process Details tab of your automation process, click the Edit icon next to Filter.
- Select the Filter Type of Task - View Filters.
- Select a View from the drop-down.
Note: If the required view is not displayed, ensure the view has been enabled for Automations.
- Enable the Run Only Once Per Task option to prevent the automation from running multiple times for the same task.
- Click Save.
