What's New across FYI
4:27: We’ve enhanced the way that you can share documents to your sensitive clients. Any clients with client security enabled can now have a secured Collaborate site created, ensuring that only team members who have access in FYI will also have access in Collaborate. You can follow the steps outlined here to Move to a Client Secured Collaborate Site or here to Create a New Client Secured Collaborate Site.
7:35: Introducing the new Pinned Documents feature, giving users the ability to pin documents that need to be accessed regularly or contain important information. Pinned Documents will show with the pin icon and allow for quick access via a Display Pinned Documents toolbar button. A new Pinned Documents view has been created for use in Automations and quick access to all pinned documents.
9:35: Convert to PDF has been enhanced to allow the option for converted documents to thread together. The PDF Convert toolbar button now displays with a dropdown with the option to convert without threading - leaving both the original document and the PDF to be independent documents - or to Convert with Threading to thread the original document and the PDF to thread together with the PDF as the main document displayed.
10:26: We've added extra features to our Automation feature, starting with a new Process Step - Copy Document.
This is now available for any automations with a Document View Filter, allowing the documents in the view to be copied.
Further, the Run Again button within the Automation Process History has also been enhanced. When using Run Again, the automation will run again but will use the latest steps in the automation. This means any changes made to the automation since it had first run will now be performed.
We have introduced the Skip & Continue button into the Automation Process History. This allows for steps with errors to be skipped where appropriate so the automation can continue without that step. If applicable, there will be additional options or information, such as selecting a different job where one could not be found within the automation parameters, to allow the automation to continue.
What's New for FYI Elite
13:27: We have released a new feature to allow workflow jobs to be moved from one billing job to another where required. When Assigning Workflow Jobs to a different Billing Job there are additional settings that can be configured to determine if other items on the job should also be moved, such as documents and time.
15:34: My Team Productivity dashboard is a new feature that allows quick and simple access to team member productivity statistics and the ability to check timesheet submissions. The dashboard is only available for FYI Admins or users in a User Group with permissions enabled for either Employees - Access or Employees - Management. From this dashboard the Missing Timesheets view can then be used to configure the Missing Time Reminder automation, removing manual timesheet chasing for your team.
18:09: The Invoices area of FYI now has additional columns available. Job Category and Job Number are now available to be used in this area to allow further categorisation of your invoice data.
Further, we have added in additional columns to the Time area of FYI. Following from above, this includes Job Category and Job Number as well as Invoice Number. This provides extra options for grouping your time data.
19:27: We have enhanced our user groups permissions, specifically around defining who can view invoices and view timesheets, as well as creating invoices and editing timesheets. Managing User Groups now has the ability to choose more granular permission options.
21:24: CSV Data Import Process Filter has been released to all Elite practices to allow for large datasets to be imported into FYI efficiently and effectively. Importing Data using CSV Import is now available to use in the Automation area of FYI and can be used to import Clients, Jobs, Disbursements and more.

- FeeSynergy Collect is a leading debtor management and automated payment platform designed to help accounting firms improve cash flow and streamline client payments.
- The Gap allows practices to seamlessly file The Gap documents in FYI, including Session Records, Business Plans, and more.
- Vinyl is an AI meeting assistant built for accounting and bookkeeping firms
25:22: We continue to expand and deepen your app stack connections, enhancing the Zapier integration to now Create or Update Client Groups.
25:45: We have released FYI Guide - our in-app learning and support tool designed to help users explore and use FYI more effectively. We take you through how it works and how you can access Guide from within FYI.
30:33: A reminder of our complimentary Automation Lounge service. This is a dedicated weekly space with a consultant to talk all things automation for your practice.
