We're excited to announce that the Non-Proportional WIP Allocation feature is now available for all Elite practices using FYI as the Practice Management source.
The Non-Proportional WIP Allocation feature gives practices greater control and transparency when managing billing adjustments across jobs and team members.
What does this mean for FYI users?
When creating an invoice, users can now manually allocate WIP for specific time or disbursements, providing greater control over billing and performance reporting.

Manually allocate WIP line-by-line - control the Invoiced Amount and Write On/Off values for each entry. The background colour of the row will change to easily identify which rows have been adjusted.

Accurate performance reporting - attribute write-ons and write-offs to the appropriate staff member for better insights.

System Write On/Off - record internal adjustments, such as training or mentoring time, without affecting client invoices or impacting staff members.

Group WIP entries by user - use the new Row Groups feature to review and manage allocations more efficiently.
- Use formulas to calculate WIP values - enter simple equations directly into fields to quickly update totals, for example, calculating a percentage of a value.
Who is this available for?
Non-Proportional WIP Allocation is available now for all practices on the Elite plan where FYI is the Practice Management source.
To access the feature, users must be an FYI Admin or assigned to a User Group with the Create Invoices and Edit Timesheets permission enabled.
Want to get started?
When creating a Progress or Final invoice, click on a Job Name to display the Add Time window. For more information, refer to Allocating WIP.
