The FYI Integration with Zato allows practices to synchronise clients, jobs, and documents to improve workflow efficiency while maintaining a complete record ready for compliance and auditing.

Features of the Integration
The integration with Zato offers the following benefits:

Workflow Efficiency: Easily synchronise documents between FYI and Zato to eliminate manual handling, reduce duplication, and improve processing speed.

Compliance and Audit Readiness: sync documents such as workpapers, journals, and reconciliations back to FYI to maintain a complete record.
- Single source of truth: maintain centralised visibility of jobs and documents across FYI and Zato.
Connecting Zato to FYI
Step 1 - Obtain the Access Key ID and Access Key Secret from FYI
- From FYI, click the Automation menu option.
- Click the Apps tab.
- Click the Zato cog icon to edit the integration.
- Click Create new secret. This will generate a new Access Key ID and Secret Key used to connect to FYI.
- The Access Key ID and Secret Key ID will be displayed. Click the clipboard icon to copy each of the keys and paste it in Zato or a secure location, for example, a vault.
Important: You can only view the Secret keys the first time this window is displayed. If the Keys are required again, you must disconnect your integration and request a new Key before you reconnect your integration.
- Click Close once you have saved the Access Key ID and Secret Key ID to a secure location.
Step 2 - Adding the FYI Access Key ID and Secret Key ID into Zato
Once you have obtained the Key details from FYI, you can add them to Zato to connect the integration.
The FYI Integration settings are available by navigating to the Firm Setup section and click on the Integrations tab.

Using the Zato Integration
Once the integration has been connected:
- Users must manually map the FYI jobs to Zato jobs.
- Users will be able to manually trigger a document synchronisation to retrieve the latest files.
Note: Data synchronised from FYI will be read-only. Updates to documents should be made directly within FYI.
