Innovation is built on partnership with clients, and at FYI our clients play a pivotal role in the development of features. Our beta program allows a select group of practices to access and test new functionality, providing valuable feedback that directly shapes the final release.
If your practice is interested in joining a beta, you can request access using the steps outlined in this article.
Note: Beta program availability varies by feature. Current Features in Beta lists only those beta programs currently accepting sign-ups, and may not include features where access is limited or net yet available.
Requesting Access to a Beta Program
To assist with managing requests for beta features, please follow the steps below:

Step 1 - Contact the FYI Team via Email
To begin the request process, an email is sent to the FYI team:

Send an email to beta.registration@fyi.app with your interest in joining a beta program.
- Once received, you will be sent an email containing a link to the Beta Sign-Up form, where you can select the beta feature you are interested in.
Step 2 - Submit the Beta Sign-up Form
Important: The user completing the Beta Sign-up form should be the primary contact for the beta program. If another colleague has received the initial email, please forward this to the correct contact to complete the form.
- Click on the Beta Sign-up form link included in the Beta Registration email.
- The form will open up in a new tab. Complete all details, including your name and email address, then select the Beta feature you wish to join.
- Click Submit. Your request will be sent to our Product Team for review.
Note: You can only select one beta per form. If you are interested in joining multiple beta programs, once the first form is complete contact the FYI team via email to request another form.
Step 3 - Receiving Beta Registration Confirmation
When your form has been submitted, our Product Team will review your practice's eligibility, based on the beta program's criteria and capacity.
You will then receive an email indicating the outcome of your request:
If approved, your selected beta feature will be enabled for your practice, and you can begin using it straight away.
If not approved, you will be added to a waitlist, and the Product team will be in touch if a spot becomes available or the eligibility criteria change. You may wish to contact the FYI team to submit a different beta program request.
Working on the Beta Program
When your practice is accepted into a beta program, you may receive direct communication from the Product Manager responsible for that feature.

Not all FYI features will be released as beta. The following features are currently available for a beta program:

The CSV Data Import Automation Filter is available when creating Custom Automation Processes, allowing practices to configure one or more CSV files and import the data from the file into FYI. For example, practices can use the import to bulk create or update clients, disbursements, or jobs. Refer to Process Filter Details - CSV Data Import. Note: Practices must have FYI as Primary (Beta) enabled to create clients in FYI. |
