Forms Branding allows practices to define their primary colour for branding when creating forms.
Once the Forms feature has been enabled by an FYI Admin, practices can update their branding from Practice Settings. To enable Forms, refer to Managing Practice Settings for Forms.
Note: The Branding settings are specific to Forms and do not affect other documents in FYI.
Forms Branding Overview
Forms Branding allows practices to personalise their forms. When forms is enabled, all forms and form templates will default to the Default Primary Brand Colour.
When an FYI Admin updates the Primary Brand Colour, the colour will be applied to the following forms:
- All active forms, including General Forms and Submitted Client Forms.
- All new Client, Internal and General Forms.
- All existing and new Form Templates.
- When new Forms are converted to PDF.
Default Form Brand Colours
The following table describes the form fields, their default form colour and how each element in a form applies the Primary Brand Colour.

Displaying the Primary Branding Colour
When Forms is enabled, all sample and new forms will use the Default Form Branding Colour. To display your practice's Primary Branding Colour:
- From FYI, click Settings > Practice Settings.
- Select Practice settings, and from the drop-down select Forms.
- The Forms setting page will be displayed. Click the Branding tab.
- The Primary Brand Colour will be displayed, with an example of the colour swatch and the corresponding hexadecimal colour code.
Note: The default Brand Colour is Dark Blue (#284664). If you have updated your Primary Brand Colour, this will display.
Updating the Primary Brand Colour
There are two ways that the Primary Brand Colour can be updated:
- Hexadecimal Colour Code: for practices that know their hex code, this can be entered.
- Colour Picker Window: allows practices to determine their primary colour visually or enter the RGB code.
To update your Primary Brand Colour using a hexadecimal colour code:
- From the Branding tab, enter your primary colour's hexadecimal code.
- Click Apply.
- A Message will display to confirm the changes. Click Yes to apply the changes to all forms. Click No to return to the Branding settings.
- A confirmation message will display to confirm that the brand colour has been updated successfully.
Once applied, all active forms, including submitted forms, will be updated with the Primary Brand colour. Any form templates, new and existing, will also be updated.
If you don't know your primary colour hexadecimal code, you can update your primary brand colour from the Colour Picker Window.
- From the Branding tab, click the colour swatch.
- The Colour Picker Window will open.
- From the window, select a colour using one of these options:
- Type in the corresponding RGB (Red, Green, Blue) values,
- Move your cursor around to find the colour. When you move the cursor, the picker updates and displays an example of the colour, along with the RGB code, or
- Click the chevron icon to change between RGB, HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness) or Hex values. Enter the corresponding code, where required.
In the following example, the chevron has been clicked to display the HSL values.
- Click Apply.
- A Message will display to confirm the changes. Click Yes to apply the changes to all forms. Click No to return to the Branding settings.
- A confirmation message will display to confirm the brand colour has been updated successfully.
Once applied, all active forms, including submitted forms, will be updated with the Primary Brand colour. Any form templates, new and existing, will also be updated.
Resetting to the Default Brand Colour
Once you have set your Primary Brand Colour, you can reset this at any time, to the Default Brand Colour.
- Navigate to Forms Settings> Branding tab.
- Select Reset.
- A confirmation message will display, confirming that the brand colour will be reset to the default brand colour.
- Click Yes to reset all forms to the default colour. Click No to return to the Branding settings.
- A confirmation message will display to confirm the brand colour has been updated successfully.

The following example shows the Update Client Form (Sample) with the Default Primary Colours, and when the Default Primary Brand Colour has been updated to Green.
