Features & Functionality

What does the AI feature actually do?

Using generative AI response automation steps and prompts with detailed context, FYI AI has a range of use cases, including automatic email reply, meeting summarisation and task creation.

Do I need additional Permissions to use FYI AI?

FYI AI is deeply integrated with our Automations feature. FYI Admins or users with Automations Permission will be able to use the feature.

Can I control or customise how the AI behaves?

Users will have full control to customise the prompts in FYI and continue to refine as needed.

Does FYI AI integrate with Co-Pilot?

Co-Pilot currently interacts with calendar entries similar to our Email AutoFile functionality and imports the transcript generated by Co-Pilot. To support this, the meeting owner requires a Co-Pilot licence.

Note: We will be expanding our Co-Pilot integration in the future.

Data & Security

What happens to my data after the AI processes it?

FYI AI uses a large language model (LLM) in partnership with AWS. Starting with Anthropic and Claude as our third-party models, we have made the decision to design this feature to be modular so we can introduce other models in the future.

AWS Bedrock operates on a no-data-retention model by default. Prompts and responses are processed in real time and discarded by AWS servers, not stored. This "ephemeral processing" model significantly reduces your data liability and simplifies compliance with data retention policies, so you don't need to worry about managing or purging AI interaction data, as it's automatically discarded after each use.

The response is stored in the FYI automation so users can access the provided response and the appropriate action taken by FYI's automation engine.

Is my data secure?

Yes, all data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, ensuring end-to-end protection of your sensitive information. Your project data is protected at the same level as the most sensitive financial transactions. You don't need to implement additional encryption measures, AWS handles this automatically, reducing your project complexity while maintaining security standards.

Will my practice's data be used to train the models?

No, your practice's data will not be used to train or improve the foundational models. AWS Bedrock has strict contractual agreements with model providers that prohibit the use of custom data for training purposes. Your prompts and responses are processed for your specific request only and then discarded. Your competitive advantage and client confidentiality remain intact.

Where is my data processed and stored when using FYI AI?

AWS Bedrock processes data within the AWS region selected for your environment, and the data does not leave that region during processing. As Bedrock does not store data long term, data residency relates to where the processing occurs. This ensures data remains within the designated AWS infrastructure region, supporting compliance with regional privacy and data protection requirements such as GDPR.
