You can easily display a preview of a form within FYI, including any responses that have been saved to the form and not yet submitted.
When previewing a form, users can also update fields and Save or Submit the form, for example, a staff member may complete the Update Client Details form while on a call with the client. The Form Workflow Status will be updated accordingly, similar to if the form was completed externally by a client.

Display the Preview
To preview a form:
- From a Documents list in FYI, click on a Form to display the Form drawer.
- Click the Preview tab on the left of the drawer.
- A preview of the form will be displayed next to the drawer. If the form has been partially completed and saved, the saved data will be displayed.
- To display the preview as a full screen, click the Full screen tool at the top of the Preview pane.
- Click Exit Full Screen to reduce the size of the preview pane.
- To close the preview, click the Hide tab on the left, or the X in the top of the preview.
Tools in the Preview Tab
When previewing a form, the following tools are available in the toolbar.

Opens the form in a new browser tab. |
| Delete |
Allows you to soft delete the form, where it won't be permanently deleted. Permanently deleting documents is restricted to FYI Admins only. Refer to Deleting Documents and Recovering Deleted Documents. |
| Doc Link |
Creates a hyperlink to the selected form within FYI. The link is copied to your clipboard, and can be pasted to any application outside of FYI. When the link is opened, FYI will load the form, and the Preview pane will be displayed automatically. The Doc Link is for internal use only, for users with access to FYI. Use the Share button to send links to forms to clients. To copy a Doc Link so it can be opened when pasted into an Excel document, click the arrow next to Doc Link and select Excel. Refer to Copying, or Inserting, and Opening a Document Link. |
| Share |
Used to send the form to clients by email. Refer to Sending Forms to Clients. |
| Bulk Update |
Used to update the filing information, or workflow details of multiple forms, or to delete multiple forms at the same time. The Bulk Update drawer will be displayed with the Form selected, and to allow the user to select more documents as required. Refer to Bulk Update. |
| Run Automation |
Allows users to run a manual Automation Process from a List. Refer to Running Custom Processes. |
| Time Entry |
Allows user to create a draft time entry for the form. Refer to Adding Bulk Time Entries. |
| Pin |
Pins the form in the document list for all users in the practice with permissions to access the file. Refer to Pinned Documents. |
| Staple |
Allows multiple associated documents to be "stapled" together. Refer to Stapled Documents. |
| Full Screen |
Extends the preview to be the full-width of the screen alongside the drawer. |
Adding and Displaying Comments
When the Preview pane is open, you can add or display comments by clicking the Comments icon at the top of the drawer.
The Comment pane will be displayed in the drawer.
Enter the comment into the Your Comment area. You can also type the @ symbol to notify another user of the comment. Refer to Adding Comments and Notifying Team Members.
Click Comment to submit the comment.
When comments have been added to a form, and the Preview pane is displayed, the number of comments are displayed at the top of the drawer in a green button.
Click the Comments count to display the existing comments, and to add additional comments.
To close the Comments pane and re-display the drawer, click the Back button.
