Editing Employee Details

Plan: Not Available: Intermediate, Pro Available: Elite

Users: Not Available: All users Available:FYI Admins or User Group Permissions

Practice Management Source: Not Available: APS, Iris, MYOB AE & AO, CCH, MYOB Practice Management (formerly GreatSoft) Available: FYI or Xero Practice Manager

Editing an Employee is available to FYI Admins, or users in a User Group with the permissions enabled for Employees - Access or Employees - Management.

To edit Employee fields:

  1. Click the Edit Employee icon. Multiple fields will become available to be edited.

  2. Enter or select the new value for the Field. You can only enter or select a value as relevant for the type of field, for example, as text, select from a drop-down, number etc. The following is an example of entering a Phone Number.

  3. Click Save at the bottom of the screen to save the changes made to the fields, and to take the Employee out of editing mode.

Changes made to an Employee will be displayed in the Employee Activity tab. Refer to Employee Activity.

Employee Fields

The following Employee Fields are displayed on the Employee - Summary tab.

Employee Field Details
Team

The team the employee belongs to internally. This field is optional. Begin typing to select from existing teams, or to create a new team.

Note: The Employee Team field is not used to manage which employees are displayed on the My Team Productivity dashboard. Refer to the Manager and Partner fields below.

Name The name of the Employee.
Salutation The preferred name of the employee.
Email The email address of the employee, as per the user profile in Practice Settings.
Phone Number

The contact phone number for the employee, as per the user profile in Practice Settings

For practices integrated with Xero Practice Manager, the employee's Phone Number will be available to edit in FYI.

Mobile Number

The contact mobile number for the employee, as per the user profile in Practice Settings

For practices integrated with Xero Practice Manager, the employee's Mobile Number will be available to edit in FYI.

FYI Client ID The unique ID assigned to each employee when created in FYI.
Export Code Enter an export code, if required.
Active If the employee is currently an Active user in FYI, as per the user profile in Practice Settings.
User Role The User Role selected in the user profile in Practice Settings.
Manager The Manager for the employee.
Partner The Partner of the employee.
Productivity Target % A percentage of their expected working hours of their total working hours, as per the user profile in Practice Settings.
Expected Working Hours The number of hours the employee is expected to work each week, as per the user profile in Practice Settings.
Physical Address The physical address for the employee.
Postal Address The postal address for the employee.
