- We're excited to announce two new features for practices on the Elite plan:

Team Productivity is now available for FYI Admins and users with permissions to access or manage employees. The new Home - My Team tab offers real-time visibility into team performance, enabling users to make data-driven decisions without needing to generate and export reports. Key metrics are displayed for each employee, including Actual Hours, Expected Hours, and productivity percentages, making it easy to identify variances, address bottlenecks, and follow up with staff to ensure time is recorded accurately.
As part of this release, we have also introduced a new Missing Timesheets view, displaying a list of users with total time entries less than their expected time. This view can also be used with Automations, for example, to send a reminder to staff to enter their remaining time.
We have also introduced additional Date Filters, including the ability to enter a specific date range (to a maximum of 60 days).

- We have also released Enhanced Time and Invoice Grouping, offering Elite practices greater flexibility with organising Time and Invoices lists. New grouping options allow practices to group by Date (Year, Month, Week or Day), manage large sets of data up to 50,000 rows and view totals directly within the group view. These improvements provide clearer insights, better control, and more efficient ways to track performance and keep Time and Invoice data organised. Refer to Grouping Invoice and Time Lists.

Enhancements
- We have updated Time Bulk Update to restore the ability to bulk delete time entries. Draft, In Progress, and Interim time entries will be permanently deleted, while Submitted time entries can be restored if required. Invoiced and Locked time entries cannot be deleted. Refer to Time and Disbursements Bulk Update.
- For practices migrating to FYI Elite, we have improved the WIP Import validation process:
- The Issue Report CSV file will now include errors when the Billable Amount for time or disbursements does not equal the value calculated from the Billable Rate and the Quantity or Time. Refer to Import Unbilled WIP Import.
- After the WIP Import has been completed, Practice Activity will display the Billable Amount successfully imported into FYI, and not the value from the CSV file. Refer to Import Unbilled WIP Import.

Resolutions
- For practices without an XPM integration and on the Elite or Pro plan with FYI as Primary enabled, we have resolved an issue where the ClientSalutation merge field did not display correctly when stored directly on the Client Summary. When using the ClientSalutation merge field in a Document Template, the salutation will now populate correctly, using the salutation from the Client Summary if available, otherwise defaulting from the Primary Contact.
- For practices integrated with CCH, Jobs will now synchronise when extra spaces are found in the First or Last Name fields in CCH.
- For practices integrated with APS, blank Custom Field values will not be synchronised to clients in FYI.
- We have resolved an issue that caused a delay in running some scheduled Automation Processes.
- We have improved the performance to reduce lock timeout limit errors when:
- Creating multiple Workflow Jobs from a Billing Job Template
- Using an Automation process to create or update Time or Disbursements, or create Invoices.
- When a scheduled automation containing the Create Email Automation Step is triggered by "System", and the step is configured to set the Sender to the user who triggered the automation, the Sender will be set to the Owner of the process. This prevents the errors "Specified sending unavailable, creating as draft under process owner user" and "Skipping invalid merge field" from being displayed.
For practices on the Elite plan:
- The Archive Client button has been hidden when editing Employee Details to reduce the risk of employees being mistakenly archived.
- When updating a Workflow Job, the Billing Job drop-down will only show jobs from the Client Group. This applies to Jobs Bulk Update, and if the Job Practice Setting Show Jobs by Client is toggled off, the Job Summary tab when converting a Standard Job to a Workflow Job.

Interim Invoices for Workflow Jobs is now live for all Elite practices, following a concentrated beta launch. Interim Invoices can be created against Workflow Jobs for better WIP tracking and efficiency, along with enhanced recalculation of deleted interim time entries across both Billing and Workflow Jobs. Finally, interim time entries will be automatically allocated to Workflow Jobs when importing unbilled WIP. For more information on creating an invoice for Workflow Jobs, refer to Create an Interim Invoice.
- FYI is now integrated with The Gap, allowing practices to seamlessly sync documents directly to FYI, including Session Records, Business Plans, and more. The Client Auto-Match feature automatically identifies the closest matching client based on the client’s name and Xero ID, while still allowing users to manually select from the client list via the drop-down menu if necessary. Please note that this integration is separate from The Gap Portal. Refer to Announcing the new integration with The Gap.
Enhancements
- We are introducing a new optimised Custom Field sync for specific practices integrated with Xero Practice Manager. This update will be progressively rolled out in stages. This enhancement introduces a new event-based bi-directional sync and removes the overnight Custom Field sync. When changes are made to Client or Job Custom Field values in FYI, the updated fields are synchronised to XPM, and in return, any updated values in XPM for the Client or Job will be synchronised back to FYI.
Please note that changes to Custom Fields in XPM made by third-party integrations will only sync to FYI if there’s an update to the Client or Job Details in XPM, or if triggered by a manual sync or the new bi-directional sync from FYI. For Job Custom Fields, this also includes changes made directly by users in XPM.
It's strongly encouraged to maintain Custom Fields in FYI to ensure optimal sync performance.

- The New Collaborate Status Check for both Default and Client Secured Collaborate Sites will now detect and resolve misconfigured Visitor Group permissions to ensure secure access to client folders. Status Check can be run from within the Collaborate App on the Automations Dashboard, or for Client Secured Sites, from the client's Sharing Settings. Refer to Troubleshooting New Collaborate using Status Check.
- When adding an Automation Step to an Automation Process and selecting an application, a new Filter field is available to allow users to display only matching Automation Steps. Refer to Automation Process Steps.
Resolutions
- When filtering Custom Fields on Client Lists, where the custom field has more than 1,000 unique values, all matching records will be displayed in the list.
- For practices integrated with CCH and MYOB AO/AE with Custom Field sync enabled, if a Client's Custom Field value is blank in your practice management software, it will no longer be created in FYI, and any existing blank custom fields will be removed.
- For practices integrated with MYOB AO/AE, we have resolved an issue where a client's email address was displayed in the Summary tab of FYI even if no email existed in MYOB. If no client email address is set in MYOB, the client's email field in FYI will be cleared.
- For practices on the Elite plan:
- We have resolved an issue where invoices created outside the Billing job workspace did not inherit the ‘Detailed’ layout from the Billing Job template. Invoices now correctly default to the Detailed layout when the selected Billing Job template is set to Detailed.
- Where a client has a multi-line Physical or Postal address in FYI, when an invoice is synchronised with Xero Ledger, the address details now map correctly to separate Delivery and Billing address lines in Xero. Note that up to four address lines are supported.
- We have resolved an issue that locked the Dashboard Insights app, preventing practices from connecting the integration.
- We have improved the invoice sync process that caused minor delays in synchronising invoices to Xero Ledger. Invoices created or edited in FYI or Xero will now synchronise between platforms immediately.
