Integration with Abacor

Abacor is an AI assistant for accounting practices that captures and understands client conversations, turning meetings into actionable tasks and documentation. 

By integrating Abacor with FYI, practices can:

  • Import clients into Abacor, to ensure meetings are filed to the correct client.

  • Export tasks from Abacor into FYI, and sync the status, ensuring updates in both systems reflect the state of the task accurately.

  • Export Meeting documents from Abacor into FYI, including meeting summaries, transcripts, and metadata, filed to the correct client.

Connecting Abacor to FYI

To connect Abacor to FYI, you will need to:

  • Obtain the Access Key ID and the Access Key Secret from FYI.
  • Add the details into Abacor.

Step 1 - Obtain the Access Key ID and the Access Key Secret from FYI

  1. From FYI, click the Automation menu option.
     
  2. Go to the Apps tab.

  3. Click the Abacor cog icon to edit the integration.

  4. In the Abacor integration panel click Create new secret. This will generate a new Access Key ID and Secret Key used to connect to FYI.

  5. The Access Key ID and Secret Key ID are displayed in a pop-up. Click the clipboard icon to copy these keys and paste it to Abacor or a secure location, for example, a vault. Make a note of the Region to select it in Abacor.
    Important: You can only view the Secret Key the first time this window is displayed. If the Key is required again, you must disconnect your integration and request a new Key before you reconnect your integration.
     
  6. Click Done once you have saved the Secret Key to a secure location.
     
  7. The Access Key ID will be displayed. Click the clipboard icon to copy and paste the information to Abacor or a secure location.
     

    Note: Auto File and Filing Defaults are not used.

Step 2 - Adding the FYI Access Key ID and Access Key Secret into Abacor

Once you have obtained your details from FYI you can add them into Abacor to connect the two systems.

Working with Abacor

When working with Abacor:

  • Abacor automatically synchronises to FYI every hour.
  • Users in Abacor can manually send Meeting documents and Tasks to FYI from Meeting Notes in Abacor. 
  • Users select the FYI Client Meetings and Tasks are filed to.
  • Refer to the Abacor article Pushing Notes and Action Items to FYI Docs
