The integration with The Gap enables practices to seamlessly store documents created in The Gap directly within FYI. For more information, visit thegaphq.com to get started.
Features of the Integration
Using The Gap, users will be able to export documents to be filed in FYI when sharing a Session Record or a Business Plan in the post-session finalisation, or when viewing a document from Clients - Documents.
The most relevant client from FYI will be displayed based on the Client Name and Xero ID, or a new client can be selected from the drop-down.
This feature is available for:
- Session Records
- Business Plans
- Collated Pre-work Responses
- Collated Feedback Forms
- Accepted Proposals
Connecting The Gap to FYI
- From FYI, click the Automation menu option.
- Go to the Apps tab.
- Click the The Gap cog icon to edit the integration.
- Click Create new secret. This will generate a new Access Key ID and Secret Key used to connect to FYI.
- The Access Key ID will be displayed. Click the clipboard icon to copy and paste the information to The Gap or a secure location.
- The Secret Key ID will be displayed in a pop-up. Click the clipboard icon to copy the key and paste it to The Gap or a secure location, for example, a vault.
Important: You can only view the Secret key the first time this window is displayed. If the Key is required again, you must disconnect your integration and request a new Key before you reconnect your integration.
- In the AutoFile defaults section, select a Cabinet from the drop-down. Documents synchronised from The Gap to FYI will be automatically filed to the selected cabinet.
