Issue

When opening an exported email, the following warning may appear in your browser:

This message can vary depending on your browser or system settings.

Cause

The .eml file format is an electronic mail format. Typically, email clients like Microsoft Outlook are used to open these files.

Opening .eml files can pose a security risk, especially if the source of the file is unknown.

This warning message is not generated by FYI, but instead by your browser (such as Microsoft Edge or Chrome) or antivirus software (such as Windows Defender or SmartScreen). It is a standard security feature.

Solution
