Integration with DASH Software

DASH Software is an innovative financial technology company dedicated to transforming the delivery of financial advice. By integrating DASH Software with FYI, you can sync clients from FYI to DASH Software and import documents from both FYI and DASH Software into each platform.

Connecting DASH Software to FYI

To connect DASH Software to FYI you will need to:

• Subscribe to FYI within DASH Software
• Obtain the Access Key ID and the Access Key Secret from FYI
• Add the details into DASH Software

Step 1 - Subscribe to FYI app in DASH Software

1. From DASH Software, click Apps on the left hand side menu.
2. Search FYI and select the FYI Docs app.
3. Subscribe to the FYI app.

Step 2 - Obtain the Access Key ID and the Secret Key ID from FYI

1. From FYI, click the Automation menu option.
2. Go to the Apps tab.
   
3. Click the DASH Software cog icon to edit the integration.
   
4. In the DASH Software integration panel, click Create new secret. This will generate a new Access Key ID and Secret Key used to connect to FYI.
   
5. The Access Key ID and Secret Key ID will be displayed. click the clipboard icon to copy each of the keys and paste it to DASH Software or a secure location, for example, a vault.
   Important: You can only view the Secret keys the first time this window is displayed. If the Keys are required again, you must disconnect your integration and request a new Key before you reconnect your integration.
   
   
6. Click Close once you have saved the Access Key ID and Secret Key ID to a secure location.

Step 3 - Adding the FYI Access Key ID and Secret Key ID into DASH Software

Once you have obtained the Key details from FYI you can add them into DASH Software to connect the two systems.

Using the Integration

Once you have connected FYI with DASH Software, you can sync clients from FYI to DASH Software and import documents from both FYI and DASH Software into each platform.

Important: DASH Software will create a cabinet in FYI called "Synced from DASH" for documents to file once synced from the DASH platform. FYI Admins will need to update user permissions accordingly to ensure the correct users have access to this cabinet. Refer to Managing User Groups.
