When migrating to the FYI Elite Plan, Draft Job Templates can be created after enabling Time and Billing. Later, once FYI has been selected as the Practice Management source, practices will be able to activate the template and assign it to the relevant jobs.
Draft Job Templates can only be managed in FYI by practices on the Elite plan, by an FYI Admin or a user in a User Group with permissions enabled for Templates.
Creating a Draft Job Template
To create a Draft Job Template, refer to the Creating a Job Template section of the Managing Job Templates article.
It is important to note the following when creating the Draft Job Template:
- When creating a Billing or Standard job template, the Xero Organisation cannot be configured until the practice Xero Ledger has been configured. This is performed after FYI is set as the Practice Manager source in the Elite Onboarding journey. Refer to Configuring the Practice Ledger App.
Note: Once FYI has been selected as the PM Source, a Xero organisation must be selected.
- The Filing Status will automatically be set as Draft. The filing Status can only be updated once FYI is set as the Practice Manager source. Refer to Practice Management Sync app.
- Draft Job Templates cannot be assigned to a Job until the Template Filing Status is "Active".
