Issue
When filing an email in Outlook using the FYI Drawer, the following message is displayed:
- This email will not be filed, since the thread is set to removed.
Cause
The email is part of an email thread, where the first/original email has either not been filed, or has since been deleted from FYI, for example, when replying to an email.
Solution
To resolve the issue you will need to:
- Open the first email in the thread.
- Click the FYI icon to display the drawer. If you are unsure of where the icon is, refer to Displaying the Drawer in FYI, Outlook and Office.
- Select the client and the filing details.
- Click Create.
- You can now try filing the other email in the thread, and confirm the error is no longer displayed. Refer to Displaying the Email Drawer in Outlook.
To prevent the issue from reoccurring, consider utilising the Email AutoFile feature to automatically file emails based on your preferred configuration settings.
