Issue
Your FYI - Drafts folder is missing from the desktop version of Outlook, or you cannot locate it.
You may also see the following error message when attempting to save an email as a draft:
- "Unable to move message to destination folder"
When saving a draft using the FYI Add-in, FYI moves the email into the FYI - Drafts folder in Outlook. If this folder is missing, renamed, or not in the expected location, the draft cannot be saved correctly.
Cause
The FYI - Drafts folder has been moved, renamed, or deleted in Outlook.
The folder must remain as a top-level folder in your mailbox. A top-level folder means it sits directly under your mailbox name in Outlook, not inside another folder such as Inbox or Drafts. If it is renamed or moved as a subfolder, FYI cannot save draft emails correctly.
Solution
1. In FYI, click Settings in the top-right corner.
2. Select My Settings.
3. Open the Status tab.
4. Confirm that Outlook FYI Drafts displays as ticked and "Found".
If an error is displayed, click Fix Me. FYI will automatically recreate the FYI - Drafts folder in Outlook in the correct top-level position.
After clicking Fix Me, close and reopen Outlook to refresh your mailbox.
Note: The FYI - Drafts folder must remain directly under your mailbox name. Do not move it inside another folder or rename it.
If the folder was renamed, FYI will create a new FYI - Drafts folder. Check both the renamed folder and the recreated FYI - Drafts folder to locate any previously saved drafts.
Check your Deleted Items folder in Outlook.
If the FYI - Drafts folder is there, drag it back so it sits directly under your mailbox name.
If it is not available, return to the Status tab in My Settings and click Fix Me to recreate it.
