The following are known issues with the latest release of Templates. These will be corrected in a future update.
When a new Template is created, it is not obvious it is in "Draft"
Issue
When you create a new document template or Word stationery, by default the Status is set to "Draft". If you have the "Active" view selected in Knowledge - Templates, the newly created Draft template or stationery will not be shown in the list.
Workaround
Before creating a new template or stationery, it is recommended to change the selected view to "All" so it includes the Draft templates.
To set the Status of a template of stationery as "Active", in the Filing section, select "Active" as the Status.
Delay when updating the Status to "Active" and when Template or Stationery is available to users
Issue
There may be a delay when you update the Status to "Active" and when the template or stationery appears for users when creating a document.
Workaround
Refresh the browser (refer Additions and changes made to FYI settings, practice settings, views, templates are missing or not showing.) and try again.
Modified date/time is not being updated with correct details, but the Activity section is updated
Issue
The Modified On date and time are not updating correctly.
Workaround
If you need to check the Modified date or time, refer to the details in the Filing - Activity section in the drawer.
When an active Template or Stationery is edited, the Status remains as "Active"
Issue
When an active template or Word stationery is edited, this should automatically set the Status as "Draft", but it currently leaves it as "Active".
Workaround
While it is being edited, change the Status to "Draft" to prevent users selecting the template or stationery when creating a document.
Archived Templates or Stationery still visible to users
Issue
Once a template is archived, the template is still visible for users to select when creating a document or email.
Workaround
Affected users will need to log out of FYI and then log back in to clear their cache.
Deleted Templates or Stationery cannot not be Restored
Issue
There is currently no restore facility for deleted Templates or Stationery.
Workaround
In the interim, instead of deleting a Template or Stationery that is not in use we recommend setting the Status to "Archived".
