Why do multiple versions of the file open when I open an Excel file for edit on desktop?
Issue
When I open an Excel file for edit via desktop, multiple versions of the file are opened.
The Activity section in the FYI drawer also shows numerous start and finish date/times.
Cause
This occurs if the workbook was saved when multiple windows were open for that workbook.
Solution
This is a function of Excel.
