You can mark specific documents that you personally want to access quickly. Marking a document as Starred allows you to easily identify and return to important documents without needing to search or apply filters each time.
When a document is marked as Starred, it is only starred for you and does not affect any other users in the practice.
You can display your starred documents from the Home - My Starred tab or from a Documents list by clicking the Starred button at the top of the list.
Starring a Document
- Select a document or email in a list to display the Drawer.
- Click the Starred icon at the top of the Drawer.
When a document has been starred, the Starred button displays as follows.
Un-starring a Document
- Select a starred document or email in a list to display the Drawer.
- Click the Starred icon at the top of the Drawer, displayed as a solid star.
Once removed, the document will no longer display in your starred lists.
Please note that this does not delete the document or change its Filing details.
Displaying Starred Documents
There are two ways to display your starred documents:
Documents List Filter
In a Documents list, click the Starred button at the top of the list.
The documents list will be filtered to display only the documents that have been starred.
Note: Document views saved with Starred setting enabled, cannot be selected as a Document Filter in automations.
Home - My Starred tab
In the Home Workspace, display the My Starred tab.
The My Starred counter, displayed next to the tab heading, counts individual documents and emails within Threads and Stapled Documents that have been starred, not the entire thread.
For example, if there are four emails in a thread but only three of those emails have been starred, the My Starred tab will display a count of 3. Collapsing the thread into a single record by clicking the Hide Threads button will still display the individual count of 3.
