For practices using Xero Practice Manager as their practice management source, follow these steps to confirm FYI’s automatic synchronisation has completed correctly:

Step 1 - Verify your Clients
- Click on the Clients menu.
- Search for an active Client.
- Open the client and check that their name, address, email, and phone details appear correctly.
- If relevant, you can also check that their Client Group appears in the drop-down menu.
Alternatively, simply type the name of a client or group into the FYI search bar and select the applicable entity from there.
Step 2 - Verify your Team
- Navigate to Settings in the top right-hand corner.
- Select Practice Settings - General.
- Click the Users tab.
The Users List will be displayed, where you can confirm the Team Members recorded in Xero Practice Manager appear correctly in FYI.
Note: Depending on your practice settings, users may be synchronised as either Active or Inactive. Refer to the "New Users" setting in Managing Practice Settings.
Step 3 - Verify your Xero Practice Manager Jobs
If you are on your 30-Day Free Trial, or have signed up for our Pro or Elite plans, you will also have access to Xero Practice Manager jobs.
Navigate to Jobs and search for an active job to check the client, group, dates, budget and assigned individuals appear correctly.
Note the following information, at the time of your FYI trial creation:
- FYI will bring in only your active Xero Practice Manager jobs.
- Any historical jobs will not be imported into FYI when you create your trial. If you need to bring any inactive jobs into FYI, you should first change the job to an activate state in Xero Practice Manager. Wait for at least 24 hours for the job to sync to FYI, then change the job to an inactive state in FYI. The state will be updated in Xero Practice Manager.
Troubleshooting
If your clients, staff, or jobs do not initially populate in FYI:
- Log in as an FYI Admin and go to Automations.
- Display the Apps tab.
- Click the cog icon next to Xero Practice Manager.
- Click Sync to display the XPM integration pop-up.
- Click Sync on each of the option to force a sync between FYI and Xero Practice Manager.
Note: The Sync Field Definitions option will only be available for practices where FYI as Primary is not enabled.
