When importing documents from zipped file (.zip), you need to first extract the files.
The following gives the steps for how to import these to FYI depending on how many files there are in the .zip.
.zip files containing more than 12 files
- Extract the documents from the .zip file into a folder in Windows Explorer or onto your desktop.
- Copy the document into your OneDrive FYI - My Imports folder.
- FYI will automatically import the files to your In Tray.
- File the documents from your In Tray.

.zip files containing 12 or less files
- Extract the documents from the .zip file into a folder in Windows Explorer or onto your desktop.
- Drag and drop one of more documents into FYI from wherever you extracted them. You can drop them into the In Tray or into a Document list in FYI.
- Drag and drop will display the Import Drawer which you use to select the filing details such as Client, Cabinet and Categories.
Note that when you drag and drop more than one document at a time, they must all be for the same filing details such as the same Client, Cabinet and Categories.

If you are importing too many documents, or too large a file size, the following message displays. Refer to Using OneDrive FYI - My Imports to Automatically Import to your In Tray for how to upload the files using your FYI - My Imports folder.
Note: There is a file size limit of 500mb for a file that can be imported via your FYI - My imports folder.
.zip files with Sub-folders
If the .zip file contain sub-folders, you can choose whether or not to extract these to sub-folders when performing the extract. FYI does not extract or break the files out in a sub-folder during the import process.
