Resetting your connection between FYI and Xero Ledger

When connecting to Xero Ledger, you will be prompted to log in with a user account. The Tenant ID will then be stored, and used in the configuration of FYI, including when creating Job Templates and linking to specific Chart of Accounts.

If the user leaves or Xero Ledger is disconnected, another user will be able to log in to restore the connection. 

Before you Reset your Connection

If you need to reset the connection between FYI and Xero Ledger, the user account logging into Xero should:

  • Have an Active status in both Xero Ledger and FYI.
     
  • Be an FYI Admin and have Administrator access to Xero Ledger.

Resetting the Connection

  1. From FYI when logged in as an FYI Admin, or a user in a User Group that has Permissions enabled for Automations, click the Automation menu option.
     
  2. Go to the Apps tab.

  3. For Xero Ledger, click the cog icon to edit it.

  4. The disconnected Xero account will be displayed under the following message:

    "The following Xero accounts have authorisation issues and should be reconnected by the account owner."
     
  5. Click Reconnect.
     
  6. Authenticate using your Xero credentials.
     
  7. Accept the permissions if prompted. 
     
  8. You will be redirected back to FYI
