Why are old emails appearing in my In Tray?

Old emails may appear in your In Tray because FYI monitors your Outlook Inbox and Sent folders using the AutoFile process.

The AutoFile process runs approximately every 15 minutes. When it runs, FYI checks the Last Modified date of emails in your monitored folders. If the Last Modified date has changed since the previous AutoFile check, the email will be imported into FYI.

Note: The Last Modified date is managed by Microsoft. FYI does not have visibility over what event occurred to trigger the date to be changed.

If emails are imported into your In Tray and are not required, they can be deleted. Learn more about managing your In Tray in Managing your In Tray.
