Error FYI-2173 "File Size Upload Limit Reached" when sharing files using New Collaborate

Issue

When sharing files to Collaborate, the following error is displayed:

  • File Size Upload Limit Reached - the file(s) you are attempting to upload exceeds the recommended size limit of 100MB per file. If you are trying to upload multiple files, please check the Collaborate tab to confirm which files have been uploaded, before re-sharing with fewer files selected.

Cause

This error is displayed when either an individual file or the combined file size is larger than the FYI recommended size limit of 100MB. Larger file sizes can cause the upload to fail, and some files may not be uploaded.

Please note - this size limit is separate from the Microsoft OneDrive Upload Folder Limit.

Solution

You will need to re-upload the files, however you should first confirm which files may have been uploaded already.

Click the Client - Collaborate tab to review which files have been shared.

Then re-share the files to Collaborate using the Share or Share No Email process as required. Refer to Sharing Documents with Clients and External Users.
