Error FYI-2157 "User cannot be saved due to an invalid email address"

Issue

When trying to create a new user, the following error message is displayed:

• User cannot be saved due to an invalid email address.

Cause

The user's email address has an invalid format, for example:

• There is a space in the email address
• There is an invalid character
• The format does not match the standard format with the @ symbol e.g. youremail@domain.com.

Solution

Update the email address to the correct format and retry saving the user. Refer to Managing Users.
