“Failed to setup Collaborate” error when using Share No Email

Issue

When using Share No Email to upload documents to New Collaborate without emailing the client, the following error is displayed:

  • Failed to set up Collaborate.

Cause

This error can be caused by:

  • The email address for the client, displayed on the Client - Summary tab, matches the email address of a user in the practice.
  • If running an automation, Microsoft may have too many processes running.

Solution

To resolve the issue, you will need to do one of the following:

  • Click Retry on the Automation Process to resume the automation from where the error occurred.
  • Enter a different email address for the client.
  • Ask your IT Administrator to unlink the recovery email from the user's Microsoft 365 account.
