Error FYI-2174: Error getting PDF data, please reload extension

Issue

When trying to use the FYI Browser extension to file PDF documents, the following error is displayed:

• Error FYI-2174 Error getting PDF data, the FYI Browser Extension has not been enabled for access to file URLs

Cause

To access PDF documents in the browser, the FYI Browser Extension must be configured in the Browser Settings to allow access to file URLs. 

Solution

1. Right-click on the extension icon and click Manage Extension. 
   
   
2. Ensure the option Allow access to file URLs is enabled.
   
   
3. Refresh the page, and retry filing the PDF file.
