Annature shows "Document base did not decode to mime type application/PDF" when sending a document for signing

Issue

When sending a document for signing, Annature displays an error similar to the following:

• Document base did not decode to mime type application/pdf"

Cause

The documents may not be a standard PDF (created by a third-party application) or have been corrupted, preventing Annature from processing the document.

Solution

To resolve the issue you will need to repair or regenerate the PDF. If the issue continues, please contact Annature directly (as the error is returned when trying to send the file through the Annature API).
