Resending New Collaborate Links Manually

Plan: Not Available: Intermediate Available: Pro or Elite

Practice Management Source: Available: All sources

If you need to resend the links to the Share Folder or Upload Folder at any time, either an FYI Admin or a user in a User Group that has Permissions enabled for Share Settings can resend the links to the client folder.

When the client opens this link, the Client folders and Upload folder display.

The Collaborate Invitation email template that has been set up for your practice for the email used when initially sending the links can also be used to resend the link by creating an email for your client. This will add the links to the Collaborate Site and Upload Folder that are relevant for that client. Refer to Setting up Collaborate Email Templates and Assigning Share Permissions.

Individual User

The Share Link icon displayed next to each user creates a personalised URL by adding a login hint with the client's email address at the end. When the user clicks on the link, the account will be automatically selected, and they will be prompted to enter their password.

  1. In FYI, open the Client Workspace for the relevant client.

  2. Click the Collaborate tab.

  3. Click the Share Settings button.

  4. Click the Copy Share Link icon next to the relevant guest user.

  5. The link will be copied to your clipboard and can be emailed to the client.

Multiple Users

To send a link to the Client Folder to multiple users, email the link using an Email Template, or by manually copying the URL from the Sharing Settings window. Refer to Sharing the New Collaborate Client and Upload Folders.

When sending an email using an Email Template, ensure the email contains the Collaborate Site Link Merge Field. Refer to Setting up Collaborate Email Templates

To personalise the links for each recipient, the Personalised Links option must be enabled in the Client - Collaborate app.
