Create the right document faster and keep every review and approval connected to it, so you always know what's current and who signed it off.
When documents are downloaded, renamed and emailed for review, it can be difficult to keep track of the current file and its approval status.
In this session, we show you how to create documents from a template, co-edit with your team, find documents using search and views, and manage review and approval using FYI Workflow.
See how FYI keeps versions, comments and approvals connected to the same document throughout its lifecycle.

Your Action Plan
Follow these steps to manage the document lifecycle in FYI, from creation through to final approval.
Step 1 - Create your document from a template
From the Client workspace, create a new Excel spreadsheet and select an existing template. Check the Client, Cabinet, Categories and document name before creating it.
Starting from a template gives you a consistent, practice-approved starting point without copying an old file.
Step 2 - Collaborate and keep everyone working from the same document
Use the available editing options and Co-Edit to work together on the same document.
Share a Doc Link instead of sending copies, and use document search, views or the Cabinet Explorer to return to the existing document when you need it.
Step 3 - Review and approve using Workflow
When the document is ready for review, use Workflow. Select the Approver and set the Status to Pending Approval.
The Approver can review and approve the document, or request changes. Once approved, the approval is recorded against the document.
Note: Workflow is available on the Pro and Elite plans.
