Keep client communication connected to the client, not the inbox.
Client emails shouldn't stay buried in personal inboxes. By managing client communication in FYI, emails become part of the shared client record, giving your team the context and visibility they need to keep work moving.
In this session, we show you how to create and manage client emails in FYI, automatically file replies to the correct client, manage emails that need filing, and turn client communication into action using Tasks.
Instead of forwarding emails internally or relying on manual follow-up, you'll see how FYI can help your team create a more connected and transparent way of working.

Your Action Plan
Below are action plans to help you get the most out of email filing and management with FYI.
Step 1 - Start new client email threads from FYI
Create your next client email directly from the Client workspace and use an approved Email Template where available. Add any additional recipients and attachments before sending.
Starting the conversation in FYI helps connect the email to the client record from the beginning.
Step 2 - Understand your Email Filing Status
Get familiar with the three key Email Filing Statuses:
Filed - The email has been filed in FYI and is available from the relevant client record.
Draft Filed - The email has been imported into FYI but needs review before it is fully filed. These emails display in your In Tray.
Not Filed - The email has not been filed in FYI and may need to be filed manually if it relates to a client.
Reviewing these statuses makes it easy to identify which emails require your attention.
Step 3 - Keep your In Tray under control
Use your In Tray to review and file emails that FYI wasn't able to file automatically.
Once the correct Client and Cabinet have been identified, use bulk update where appropriate to quickly clear multiple emails requiring the same filing information.
Step 4 - Create a Task instead of forwarding the email
When a client email requires someone else to take action, create a Task directly from the filed email.
Use a Task Template where available to quickly populate the relevant task details and assign it to the right team member.
Because the Task is connected to the original email, the assignee can access the client communication and context without needing the email forwarded to them.
Use Delegated Tasks to keep visibility over the work you've assigned and follow its progress.
