Restoring Deleted Time and Disbursement Entries

Users can recover certain time entries that have been deleted, for example, where they have been deleted by mistake. The Status and Type of Time entry will determine whether the entry can be removed and restored, or permanently deleted. For more information, refer to Deleting Time and Disbursement Entries.

Time and Disbursement entries can be restored from the following workspaces:

  • Practice - Time
  • Client - Time tab
  • Job - Time tab

Users must be an FYI Admin or be assigned to a User Group with the Edit Timesheets permission enabled.

To restore Time and Disbursements:

  1. From a Time list, click the Unhide Deleted Timesheets button.

  2. Click the Checkbox in the first column to select one or more deleted Time and Disbursement entries.
    Tip: Filter the Status column to 'Deleted' to display only deleted time entries.
     
  3. Click the Restore icon in the toolbar.
    If one or more entries do not have the status 'Deleted', the Restore icon will not display.

  4. A confirmation message will be displayed to check if you want to restore the entries.
    Click Yes.

  5. The Time and Disbursement entries will be restored, with a 'Draft' status.
    To update details on the time entry, including updating the Status, refer to Displaying and Updating Time and Disbursements.

Note: If a Workflow Job is reassigned to a different Billing Job after time entries have been deleted, and the client is updated on the Workflow Job, restored time entries will not be assigned to the new client.
