FYI is slow or does not load documents when working internationally

Issue

I am working remotely from a country outside of Australia, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom, and when trying to use FYI it is very slow, times out, or does not load documents. Other applications and websites seem to be working correctly.

Cause

Users in the Philippines

For users in the Philippines, this appears to be an issue with the internet provider Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) blocking the connection with FYI.

You will need to change to a different internet provider. You can tether to a smartphone or personal hotspot, or use another internet connection if available

FYI is monitoring the issue and will update this page with any new information.

Users in China

The firewall in China may be blocking or limiting your access to FYI. This is due to FYI using Amazon Web Services and Amazon S3 to store your data. The use of third-party applications may be flagged as a risk in the firewall.

We recommend using a VPN (Virtual Private Network software) when using FYI in China. Your IT Administrators will be able to provide a recommendation on the best software for your practice.
