The Client - Apps tab shows any third parties with which the client is integrated. You use this tab to connect the FYI client to their Xero ledger within FYI.
Note: Before the connection can be made in the Client - Apps, the client must first have been connected by an FYI Admin (or a user in a User Group that has Permissions enabled for Automations) from Automation - Apps. Refer to Connecting Xero Ledger for each Client in Automation - Apps (Australia and UK).
When the connection has been made, it is used to run a batch import of client Xero Ledger reports and automatically files them in FYI using the Client Ledger Reports AutoFile automation. Refer to Running the Client Ledger Reports AutoFile (Australia and UK).
The connection from the Client - Apps tab is a one-off step and can be done by any user, not only an FYI Admin. This can only be completed if you have already been granted access to the client's Xero Ledger.
To link the client:
- In FYI, go to Clients and select the relevant client
- Go to the Apps tab.
- On Xero, click the cog icon to display the Xero Settings.
The Xero Settings displays.
If this displays the message "We could not load your Xero Ledger tenants. Please check the Xero Ledger App is configured within FYI." this indicates that your Xero Ledger has not yet been set up by an FYI Admin in Automation - Apps (see above). - Select the Organisation as relevant for the client from the drop-down list to connect your client.
The configuration of the Client Ledger Reports AutoFile process needs to be checked by an FYI Admin (or a user in a User Group that has Permissions enabled for Automations). Refer to Client Ledger Reports AutoFile (Australia and UK).
For details on running the Client Ledger Reports, refer to Running the Client Ledger Reports AutoFile (Australia and UK).
