The Update Time / Disbursement step is used to update existing Time or Disbursement entries, including Interim Time Entries. For example, updating draft time entries to "Submitted", or updating the Custom Fields for consistency and reporting purposes.
Update Time / Disbursement
This step is only available where either:
- The Automation Filter selected is "Time Entry - View Filters"
- A Create Time step has been added earlier in the process.

Time |
Select the time to be updated.
If the Time drop-down is empty, a relevant filter or step is not available. |
Date |
The date of the time entry. Select either the Current Date or Month End, or use Select a Date to display a pop-up calendar. A Merge Field can be used to calculate the Time entry date if required. |
Client |
Select the Current Client, or a specific client by entering 3 or more characters. Matching clients will be displayed in the drop-down to select from. |
Job |
Select from the Current Job, or select a specific job by entering 3 or more characters. Matching jobs will be displayed in the drop-down to select from. If a client has been selected from the "Client" field, jobs will be filtered to the client only. Merge Fields can be used to automatically select the job. Note: The current Rate selected on the Time Entry will be retained, and will need to be manually updated if a new Rate is required. |
Status | The Status of the Time or Disbursement entry. Select from either Draft or Submitted. |
Custom Field | Update the Custom Fields entered for the Time Entry. Select the Custom Field from the drop-down to add a Custom Field to the Action drawer. You will then be able to update the Custom Field by making a selection from the drop-down or using Merge Fields. |
