The Jobs Drawer is displayed when individual jobs are selected from within Jobs lists. Information is organised in sections in the Update Job Drawer providing specific details when expanded and allowing users to edit particular job information from the Drawer.
Job Drawer Layout
The details displayed and actions available on the Jobs Drawer will vary depending on the FYI plan selected by the practice.
By default, all plans will display the following sections: Details, Recent Documents, Tasks, Assigned Users, Process History, Activity and Comments.
For practices on the Intermediate plan, the Jobs Drawer will display the Job Details, Recent Documents and Tasks, Assigned Users, Process History and Activity. Interactions with jobs will be displayed in the toolbar such as Open Job or create a Support Request.
For practices on the Pro plan integrated with Xero Practice Manager (XPM), additional sections for XPM Tasks and Milestones will be displayed. Users will also be able to open the Job in their PM source and create Time entries from the toolbar.
For practices on the Elite plan, additional details can be edited from the Update Job drawer, such as Category.
Accessing the Job Drawer
The Job Drawer can be accessed from the Jobs List or Client - Jobs List by clicking anywhere in the job row except on the Job Name, Client Group, or Client. The Job Drawer will display on the right-hand side.
Tip: When the Job Drawer is displayed, you can select another Job in the list to update those details while keeping the drawer open. Expanded sections and the Comments pane stay visible if they were previously displayed. Use the Back button in the toolbar to return to the previous Job.

At the top of the Drawer, various tools will display depending on the FYI plan selected.

Click the Open Job icon to open the Job - Summary tab to display the full details of the Job. |
Open the Job in your Practice Management Software |
Practices integrated with XPM can open the job the Practice Management Software by clicking the Open in PM icon. |
Add Time |
Click on the Add Time icon to create Individual Time Entries. Pro Plan integrated with XPM Elite Plan |
Support Request | Click the Support Request icon, to contact the support team in relation to the job selected. |
Comments
Click the Comment tab of the Job Drawer, to add notes to the Job, including tagging team members to collaborate on the Job. Refer to Adding Comments and Notifying Team Members.
Other Sections of the Job Drawer
Section | Details |
Details | Provides a snapshot of the Job Details, including the Client, Name of the Job and Financial Details. Users with the relevant permissions will be able to edit specific details of the job. |
Recent Documents |
Displays recent documents added to the job. Tip: Select a document in the Recent Document section to preview the document from the Preview Pane. Use the back button to return to the Job Drawer. |
Workflow Jobs |
Displays a list of Workflow Jobs assigned to the Billing Job, including Start and Due Dates, WIP balance (Elite plans only), or Estimated and Actual Hours (Pro plans only). This section is only available when viewing the Job Drawer for a Billing Job. |
XPM Tasks |
Integrated with XPM Displays a list of the XPM Tasks synchronised from Xero Practice Manager. |
XPM Milestones |
Integrated with XPM Displays a list of the XPM Tasks synchronised from Xero Practice Manager. |
Tasks | Displays both Outstanding and Completed Tasks assigned to the Job. Users can complete Outstanding tasks or add a new Task from this section. |
Assigned Users |
Displays the users that have been assigned to the job. For practices where FYI as Primary for Client Maintenance is enabled, "User" type Custom Fields will be displayed, referred to as Custom User Roles. |
Process History | A history of any Automation Processes that have been run for the job. Users can click on a process to view further details about each step in the process. |
Activity | Displays an audit trail of changes made to the Job, including Custom Fields. |
